004 First week of freedom

Hello everybody! I know I've been gone for a rather explainable amount of time, but that is to be blamed on the fact that I have been relaxing and enjoying my first week of absolute freedom! In another week, I will be leaving for a trip that I have been planning and working for all year; two and a half weeks exploring Europe!

But first! I would like to share this awesome photo that Krazzyman shared with me on my last post!

This is the most adorable eggplant I have ever seen and it absolutely makes me so happy!! I had been having an alright day, but his picture made it even better!! So thank you so much for your comment, Krazzyman!

This past week, I've been up to nothing but body combat, Tumblr and writing. I'm currently working on a story-a series in true respect, but no where near completion yet. It is stylized Sci-Fi/Fantasy, and I'm having fun writing it. I am also working on my own comic. Would any of you be interested in reading either one of them? Let me know and I'll get to work on it!

003 Stupid Questions deserve sarcastic answers

Hello there, todays article is on a few simple and quick topics;
1) daily life
2) ways to annoy your swim instructor
and finally
3) why eggplants are cute

Let's start in the middle. As my second job, I work at a gym as an assistant swim instructor. And while I generally, really do enjoy my job; there are those moments I would rather let the child go in the middle of the deep end and tell them to pretend to be a rock. Here are the ways to annoy me and ways to keep me happy!

Ways to piss off your swim instructor

1. If your child is afraid of the water and is a screamer, we totally love it when you bring them to public swim lessons with a bunch of other screaming obnoxious children. 
2. Please don't teach your child how to not scream when they don't get to go when they want, I love having to wrestle the little tykes off my self and still keep the other child safe.
3. Tell me I'm not doing my job well enough every night after lessons. I understand wanting to tell us your  concerns, but once you have, unless absolutely nothing changes, don't nag us about it

See, there aren't a lot of ways, because generally, we are pretty cool people and can handle a lot. But somethings just put us over the edge. But, here are some ways to make me happy and to absolutely make my time that much more worth it!

Ways to make your swim instructor happy!

1. Have your kids showered and ready to go with their goggles!!
2. Wipe their faces!! Please make sure they are clean and don't have any runny noses! (it really grosses me out when they wipe their nose on my arm, and believe me it happens a lot!)
3. If they are sick, or acting out beyond normal, KEEP THEM HOME! Teach them a lesson about respect and don't let them go! If they don't like swim lessons and that's why they are throwing a fit, use your form of punishment, tell them to get over it and make them go. Odds are they will end up having a good time anyways.
4. Have an actual conversation with me, I am a real person and I do have a life outside of the swimming pool

Okay, so now that that rant is done, here is topic 3!! Why eggplants are super cute!! First off, who couldn't love an adorable little plant that likes to act like a fruit, but is eaten as a vegetable!! They were little green hats, and they are usually such a gorgeous purple!! They look like little baby bodies, but they aren't all pudgy and full of fat rolls e.e

 

And now, our final subject of the evening. Last night, I graduated from high school, marking the completion of my demanded public schooling. Now its optional, and expensive. But I'm looking forward to it. I'm going to play rugby for my university and study visual communication and design, with a minor in animation and possibly either creative writing or gender studies.

Well that's all I can really muster right now, I'm too tired.

002 How to piss off your courtesy clerk

Good Morning....or day...or night.... Where ever you are, Hello

Sorry I haven't updated in a couple of days, everything just got so busy! The end of my high school career is coming up, so I have to finish a few things and get the rest sorted out by the 31st.

So first, some good news. I've gotten the results from my Math Placement test, and I actually placed high enough for college math! And if that wasn't surprising enough, I actually tested high enough for a class that will satisfy my math requirements for a non math related degree! I don't think my degree is exactly math related... but i'll find out soon enough.

Now, before I explain the best ways to piss off your courtesy clerk, I'll explain why exactly I know this. So, as one of my two jobs, I work at a grocery store. I am the person who bags your food and cleans the spills. I smile at your annoying screaming siblings and children, all the while rushing back to the farthest corners of the store to grab the one thing that you forgot. Yes, I am the social servant titled with courtesy clerk. And there are so many things that piss me off. So, I've made a list of them for you!

How to piss off your courtesy clerk!

1. Ask us to bag your groceries in paper and then put the paper bags into plastic bags, we absolutely LOVE that
2. Please use those obnoxiously large children carts, even though you know your children will just crawl all over them and grab shit whilst you are not looking. And they totally fit through the check stands!
3. In the cart stalls, outside by the cars, we love it when there are big carts completely tangled in with their smaller annoying counter parts.
4. In general, we love those small carts! Those shin biters are perfect especially when you fit $200 dollars worth of food in there and than expect me to do it again
5. Please be angry with us when you rush in on a holiday and you're very surprised to realize that we don't have what you and dozens of other people need right this moment. Because you, and dozens of other people didn't prepare before hand. Remember, we are away from our family and there for you.
6. We love hearing that we don't know our store and need to get better at our job because you went down the isle even when we told you we didn't think it was down said isle and gave another option.
7. When you glare at us while we bag and growl that we shouldn't bag that way, we get special fuzzy feelings in our tummies
8. I love doing carry outs for people who have been rude and doing everything else in the above list

Those are just a few things that I can think of right now, and I'm sure I'll add more later. But honestly, we understand that you are busy or rushed or just pissed off, but half the time, so are we. So, be generally nice to me, and you'll have wonderfully bagged groceries. Be an asshole, and it's more likely you'll have crushed bread.

In other news! I have just watched the Season finale for Doctor Who and all I have to say is, AGH!!!!!!!!! Just so much... i can't even.... bleh!!! Haha, I will discuss it in my next post, but I would love to hear any opinions or questions the rest of you have if you watch the show or just like Doctor Who in general.

001 Why Not?

I'll start with this. . . I am not a Damned Hipster. I enjoy things, albeit strange and -in my fabulous opinion- quite wonderful and awesome things none the less. Now, after our announcements, I welcome you to my little blog! This small part of my soul will host a menagerie of treasures. Join me for Tales of travel and disastrous cooking attempts, midnight gaming, societal rants and the daily life of an incoming college student. The laughter and the tears, every ounce of Love and frustration; take my hand and lets ride a shopping cart down a hill called life.

Now for some information :) I am an incoming college freshmen, with an interest in Visual Communication and Design, as well as Animation and Gender studies. I love to explore, in fact I'll be headed to Europe for the first time in my life in June! I'll be sure to post pictures for all of you lovelies. I enjoy the British Culture especially, as well as many other things. This whole blog thing is a result of the freshmen English class I assist at the end of my day. So, as a way of brainstorming, I put together a general list of things I might blog about... and here they are haha Lets see how many we can do together!
